Digital Camera
I got my first digital camera as a gift a few years ago and thought I'd never use it because I preferred having pictures in my hand rather than on the computer, boy was I wrong. I don't think I've developed more than a single roll of film since then. Now I can email pictures, post them on the web, and even print out full page prints and it's still very economical. The printers that are being manufactured today are all geared towards the digital camera user and it would be a very wise decision to invest in a camera today.
If you think that since technology is moving so fast any camera you buy today will be obsolete, then guess again. I still have the same camera I got 3 years ago and have no reason to upgrade yet when I can print out amazing full page prints with great detail.

Between $100 and $500 (Average Cost: $200)
Digital cameras have really come down in price and you can find a great deal on eBay for a used one, or check Best Buy if you wish to get one of the best! TigerDirect also has a great selection worth checking out.
