scanners are so unbelievably cheap on eBay that it would be a shame to not buy one. That way you can scan all your old pictures and have a cd full of memories rather than 10 shoeboxes full up unorganized pictures. Epson makes great scanners and their Perfection series is my number one choice.
Cost
scanners are extremely cheap these days and can be found as low as $50 and as high as $400 for a professional quality scanner.
